Garth Kidd photo

In 2007, Garth Kidd joined the McTague Law Firm and currently practices in the Employment and Labour Law Department. His primary focus is on advising employers in regards to their obligations under provincial and federal labour and employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, the Canada Labour Code, and the Human Rights Code. He also assists with the representation of Employers in labour arbitrations, human rights and wrongful dismissal matters. Mr. Kidd has also done a significant amount of research on municipal and privacy law issues.

Nancy Jammu Taylor photo

Nancy Jammu-Taylor joined the McTague Law Firm in 2003 and became a partner in 2008. Ms. Jammu-Taylor practices in the Employment and Labour Law Department and primarily represents employers with respect to collective bargaining, grievance arbitrations, judicial review applications, Labour Relations Board matters, including applications under the Public Sector Labour Relations Transitions Act, and Human Rights Code proceedings. She also has experience with wrongful dismissal matters and Employment Standards Act proceedings and has assisted employers in conducting workplace investigations, particularly regarding allegations of harassment, including sexual harassment, and workplace violence. Ms. Jammu-Taylor has provided training to employees on workplace harassment and violence in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Stephen Roberts Photo

Stephen Roberts joined the McTague Law Firm as a Partner in January of 2010. Mr. Roberts practices in the Employment and Labour Law Department and represents employers only in the area of Workplace Safety and Insurance, Human Rights, Disability Management, Occupational Health and Safety, other employment and labour law matters.

He represents employers regularly at WSIB and WSIAT Appeal Hearings, and before other administration tribunals. In addition, Mr. Roberts assists employers with WSIB audits, rate group classification issues and WSIB registrations along with transfer of costs and SIEF applications. He also advises employers regularly on their obligations under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, the Human Rights Code, and the Employment Standards Act, including advice on return to work, accommodation and severance of employment issues.

Stephen is one of only twelve professionals in Ontario certified as a Specialist in Workplace Safety and Insurance Law by the Law Society of Ontario.

David M. Amyot

In 2002, David Amyot joined the McTague Law Firm and seven years later he became a partner of the firm. Mr. Amyot practices in the Employment and Labour Law Department which is dedicated exclusively to the representation of employers and management in labour and employment law matters. He has assisted clients in responding to union certification applications, collective bargaining, labour arbitration, wrongful dismissal actions, human rights complaints, Ontario Labour Relation Board matters and construction labour issues. Mr. Amyot frequently acts as a Prosecutor for municipal police services regarding police disciplinary matters under the Police Services Act. As well, he provides employers day-to-day advice with respect to ongoing labour and human resource matters.
